Yaya Toure has not given up on his career at Manchester City despite interest from other sides, according to a report.
Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk told Sky Sports on Tuesday that his 33-year-old client had received interest from Arsenal as well as Premier League rivals Manchester United, and would be free to talk to overseas clubs in January. He has left than a year left on his current contract.
However, the Daily Mail has followed these claims on Wednesday by reporting that the Ivory Coast international is aiming to spend the rest of the year proving himself to manager Pep Guardiola.
The experienced midfielder was dropped from the former Barcelona manager’s 21-man Champions League squad and with a year left on his current deal, it had left Toure’s future in Manchester in doubt.
