Eight people have died in a fatal motor accident involving multiple motor vehicles. The accident happened on Wednesday, August 3rd, near Fibawe area along Ndola-Kapiri road in Zambia. The injured victims were immediately rushed to Kapiri district hospital.
It was gathered that the vehicles -an Altezza, a minibus, and a Dangote truck reg 1482 BCA 1792T, which were all heading in the same direction were involved.

According to Zambia Reports;
The Road Transport and Safety Agency- RTSA says it has established that the road accident which happened last night where eight people died on spot was caused by the driver of the Dangote truck who misjudged the distance when overtaking.

RTSA Head of Public Relations Frederick Mubanga says details on the ground show that the accident happened last night at about 25km from Kapiri Mposhi town at a place called Chinawe.

"The accident investigations have established that the driver of the Dangote truck was overspending, and tried to overtake the two vehicles in front of him but failed after seeing an oncoming vehicle on the opposite lane resulting into the truck hitting the Altezza from behind forcing it off the road," Mubanga says.
